Chickypot inc (a fast food related QSR chain) operating in Indiana, USA is the leading player in USA market. Top management of the organization is now planning to expand the business operations in the neighboring country Canada because Canada has come up as the most potential market to be targeted after a detailed analysis of the other international options.
Top management has decided that franchising is the mode which will be opted for the proposed expansion.
The point of concern is that there exista lot of issues related to franchised business operations like loss of control over business operations, disintegration of brand building efforts between franchiser and franchisee, differences of business philosophy among parties, lesser coordination, and disputes on financial matters. Now the management team is trying to come up with a solution to these problems prior to going for the launch of franchised business operations.
You being a student of international marketing have to come up with a set of the best possible solutions to cop not only the mentioned problemsbut also any other possible problems related to franchising. Your set of solutions should be a document which can act as a guiding source for the management of discussed business organization.
