The basic objective of this assignment is to give a practical insight to the students about the companies working in their locality. Moreover, students will be able to learn how to conduct situation analysis ranging from basic information to SWOT analysis – a kind of detail review of the internal & external environment.
After attempting this assignment students will be able to:

? Identify the promotional activities of the company at local level
? Identify the sources of competitive advantages and competitors strength
? Identify the potential threats and opportunities for the company to revise its
Strategic analysis of a company is one of the pillars of a sound marketing knowledge - valuable insights about markets, customers and competitive position. It serves as building blocks to make strategic decisions in order to create profitable value in a rapidly changing competitive environment. Such analysis allows you to evaluate the company's objectives, strategies and capabilities that indicate the strength of a company. If there are areas that need to be improved, they are planned in a strategic way to cope prevailing challenges in a business market.

This assignment covers basic information of the company, marketing ideas, strategies, competitive advantages, SWOT analysis and recommendation on the basis of information about a local company. One of the fundamental principles of this activity is to provide a set of concepts in the theory and relate them to the practical, real-world ways in which companies interact and operate.
Task: You are required to visit any company/franchise/retail outlet nearest to your locality
and fill the Performa by documenting your assigned task.
? Remember: You can select any company/franchise/retail outlet to which you can
better address by living in your capacity, resources and time. You would be given Ten (10) days to perform this activity and afterward fill the below given Performa.
