Strengths
ncommon points prevailing in competitors:
Øhigh quality in products
Øwell furnished, air conditioned outlets.
ØHigh Quality services
qMarketing related competitive edges over competitor:
Øsales at  discount rate from the  market & utility store.
ØCSD sells its own packaging of spices & groceries in its own outlets and save a lot of cost.
ØWell known chain of stores, lower cost of advertising.
nWeakness: Attributes that are harmful for an organization, in achieving its objectives.
q weaknesses Related to marketing:
ØLacking in the area of advertising.
ØNo proper scheduling of promotional activities.
ØDiscount is only allow to armed personals.

                     External factors that are helpful for achieving the objectives of the organization.
CSD has:
Ø Potential to increase market share.
Ø Regular and loyal customers.
ØEasy expansion of business.

CSD is facing threats from private stores.
Private stores are:
Øoffering competitive discount to all customers.
Ø focusing more on advertising and promotion.
Ø have reachable locations for local customers.
Conclusion 
CSD is the chain of stores throughout the country that works under ministry of defense.
nCSD has self service stores yet it provide few services and it is lacking in providing that service due to lower workforce.
nCSD is facing management problems like Discipline and time management.
nCSD has a well developed inventory management system, Head quarter purchase most of goods and respective companies deliver goods on outlets.
nFew items are purchased locally like ice creams, milk, yogurt  and ready to cook food etc
nCSD has seven Departments, which are performing their functions efficiently, out of these marketing department is lacking in the area of advertising and promotion
nRole of IT department is distinct because of:
ØBilling software
ØFeeding of stock into the system
ØGeneration of sale reports on daily bases.
Recommendations
nCSD should focus on the advertising and promotion.
n CSD should plane advertising and promotion activities well before time.
nDiscount should be given to all customers rather than only to army personals.
nShould have enough workforce that can serve the customers according to their needs.
