There is an example of binary to decimal conversion on the first page of handouts.
binary number is 10011001,I do not understand why power of 2 is started from 0 and it is all negative onwards.
To my understanding this binary number has no decimal point so while converting it to a decimal number , no power of 2 should be taken negative.
Kindly explain it to me as I am unable to figure out by myself that why power of 2 are taken negative.
