yes it is correct!
now f(x1) and f(x3) have opposite signs, root lies b/w x1 = 0 and x3 = -0.375
x4 = x3 - (x3-x1)/f(x3)-f(x1)*f(x1)
after calculating the value of x4, find out f(x4).

Zubair you have committed a mistake, in 9th line, root lies b/w x1 = 0 and x2 = 1.
becoz 1 and -1 are values of f(x1) and f(x2).
