A  lift  is  filled  with  patients  has  a  total  mass  of  2055  kg.  As  the  lift  begins  to  go  up,  the

in question no.2 

use formula w=fdcosᶿ

angle and f are given in the question.. u can find D which is the total distance by multiplying total trips and width i.e 16x12=192.

put all the three values in the formula n just calculate 

Two forces work on the elevator: gravity ( m g) in the direction of the acceleration, and T, the tension in the cable, in the direction opposite to the acceleration. That, and Newton's second law, gives 

m g - T = m a 

So 

T = m ( g-a) 
= 1000 kg* (9.8 m/s^2 - 1.8 m/s^2) = 8000 N
