The coefficient of kinetic frication is 0.25. What is the magnitude of the tension force in the rope shown in the figure? Marks = 7

A student of Physics applies a constant force of 25Newtons while lifting a heavy Physics book up into the air a distance of 2.0meters. How much Work does the student do on the book?
1) 0joules, because gravity pulled down on the book
2) 5.0joules
3) 50 joules
4) The answer cannot be found without knowing the mass of the book.
5) The answer cannot be found without knowing the net Force on the book.

• Normal force (N) = 1.6 kg × 9.8 (acceleration from gravity)
• Force from kinetic friction (Fr) = 0.25 × 1.6x9.8 Newtons
• Force from acceleration (Fa) = 1.6 × 2.2 = Newtons
• Total tension = Fr + Fa = 3.52 + 3.92 = 7.44 Newtons.

a) Write your opinion on the following statement.

Yes it is true by formula
F=ma
When
a=0
Then
F=m (0)
F=0
b) Is it true to say that “A projectile e has zero acceleration at its peak”.
Either yes or explain with reason.
In projectile motion the velocity has two components,
1. The horizontal component of velocity remains constant therefore the horizontal component of acceleration is zero during the whole journey therefore,
(a)x = 0.
2. The vertical component of velocity changes continuously and becomes zero at the summit point (peak point) but the vertical component has acceleration which is the acceleration due to gravity therefore,
(a)y = -g.

Here force of friction acting as a tension force
So
T=µma
=0.25×2.2×1.6
=0.88

Option 4 is true because in the question mass is not mention by formula we know that
