It is correct, although the proponents of some interpretations may say that it is not “the path of the light emanating from each slit” but the path of some pilot wave” or something similar.
Actually in many interferometer experiments the results (positive and destructive interference in different degrees) are sought or manipulated precisely by playing with the relative lengths of each path from source to detector(s).
