PHY301 - Circuit Theory Assignment No. 03 Solution and Discussion Spring 2013 Due Date: 27-06-2013

Assignment 3(Spring 2013)

Circuit Theory (Phy301)

Marks: 30

Due Date: June 27, 2013

DON’T MISS THESE Important instructions:

  • To solve this assignment, you should have good command over first 28 lectures.
  • Upload assignments properly through LMS, (No Assignment will be accepted through email).
  •  Write your ID on the top of your solution file.
  • All students are directed to use the font and style of text as is used in this document.
  • Don’t use colorful back grounds in your solution files.
  • Use Math Type or Equation Editor etc for mathematical symbols.
  • This is not a group assignment, it is an individual assignment so be careful and avoid copying others’ work. If some assignment is found to be copy of some other, both will be awarded zero marks. It also suggests you to keep your assignment safe from others. No excuse will be accepted by anyone if found to be copying or letting others copy.
  • Don’t wait for the last date to submit your assignment.
  • You can draw circuit diagrams in “Paint” or in “Corel Draw”. The simple and easy way is to copy the given image in Paint and do the required changes in it.

Q 1:

Find the voltage V0 of the given network, by using source transformation method. Write each step of calculation. Draw the circuit diagram where necessary and mention the units of calculated values.

Q 2:

Find the voltage V0 of the given network, by using super position method method. Write each step of calculation. Draw the circuit diagram where necessary and mention the units of calculated values.

Q 3:

Find the current IX flowing through 6Ω of the given network, by using Norton theorem. Write each step of calculation. Draw the circuit diagram where necessary and mention the units of calculated values.

bilal ye jo second q ha is main jo aap ny current souce acting main R2 liya ha wo 6+3 kr kr 9 nahin aay ga? coz this is in series..?

koi solution send kr do 3rd ka

Question # 3 ka solution wrong ha

For LOOP one,

3k (I1-IN) +3K (I1-I2)-12=0 IN kaha se aya? check your first loop.

3kI1-3KN+3kI1-3kI2-12=0

6 kI1-3KN-3 kI2=12

For LOOP three,

3k (IN-I2) +6k (IN-I2) =0

-3k I2+3k IN -6k I2 +6k IN=0

9K IN- 9 I2=0

Putting the values in the second loop

Third Step,

RN =3k||6K+3k=3kx6k/3k+6k=18k/9k=2k

Now Forth & Last Step is Putting Values of  RN & IN

Which is 2k & 3kSo, Io is

Io=3kx2kx1/5+2

Which, is equal to the Answerer of Io

yup ye wrong hai

Yar agar itna pata hai k wrong hai tou phir koi kam say kam idea he share kr day

Buddy sub se pehle hum Io or 6 ohm resistance ko short circuit karen... mean ke us kii jaga simple IN put kar dien ge and then pehle hum loop analysis se IN nikaalien ge and phir voltage or In ko khtam kar ke total resistance Rn nikalien ge.. end par In or Rn ko 6ohm jo hum ne short circuit kiya tha ko parallel put kar dien ge or then current divider rule se answer nikaalien ge..

plz koi tow solution dy do

App ka Q#1 ka 4.5V a raha hai jo theek hai or Q#2 Bilal ka theek hai bus Q#3 ka solution mil jye abb q k wo tough hai

please yeh kkoi bata de k jo ahmed bilal ne solution post kiya hai usmein kon kon se question  correct hain bilkul????

mujhe tow apna b ub galat lg rha hai itni confusion hai

ap share kr sakti hain takey check ho jaye? Maaham

no i think we can not add up voltage source when they are both in parallel ,other hand we can sourly add up when 2 source are in series .

voltage in series = 18v + 6v =24

voltage in parallel = 18v + 6v = smoke
