• The assignment is being uploaded to build up concepts of students about scales of measurement used in description of variables.

• This assignment will strengthen the basic idea about grouping of raw data/calculation of class boundaries/calculation of averages.

You have studied FOUR scales of measurement in your course. Looking at the following real life examples, can you determine which measurement scales is most suitable for each example?

 Example Suitable Scale People categorized according to religion (Muslim, Hindu, Christian) Positions obtained by students in a class (1st, 2nd, 3rd ) Temperature in different cities of Pakistan Height of students in a college Weight of students in a college Occupations (Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher etc.) adopted by individuals

Class limits and there respective frequencies are given. Construct the columns of:

(i)                 Cumulative Frequency

(ii)               Class Boundaries

(iii)             Mid Points
