Learning Objective: Objective of this assignment is to enhance student`s knowledge by involving them in research process.


Learning outcomes: Students will be able to understand variables, develop hypothesis and identify dimensions of concept.


Literature review:


Knowledge is considered as an important and essential strategic resource for a firm to attain competitive advantage. There is growing evidence that firms are increasingly investing in knowledge management (KM) initiatives and establishing a systematic KM process in order to acquire and better exploit this resource. Girard, J., and Girard, J. (2015) defines knowledge management (KM) as the process of generating, sharing, using and managing the knowledge and information of an organization. Alavi and Leidner (2001) developed a framework for knowledge management process which consists of; knowledge creation (acquisition), knowledge storage/retrieval, knowledge transfer and knowledge application. Knowledge management strategies have potential to enhance firm’s performance by responding to new and unusual situations creatively (Choi, B., Poon, S. K., & Davis, J. G. 2008). Organization performance is defined as the actual output of an organization measured against its intended goals or objectives. The organizational performance has been basically classified into two categories; financial and non-financial performance. Financial performance takes into account different financial ratios and measurements i.e. Profits, Return on assets/investment, market growth rate and liquidity. Non-financial performance takes into account non-financial factors like Customer satisfaction, Operational/process efficiency and capacity building factors.


As knowledge management is key contributor to get competitive advantage researchers are exploring up to what extent knowledge management is enhancing organizational performance.

24 hours extra / grace period after the due date is usually available to overcome uploading difficulties. This extra time should only be used to meet the emergencies and above mentioned due dates should always be treated as final to avoid any inconvenience.
