#1 1. Melbourne, Australia

This was a rather nice surprise, considering the owners of Mobilelikez has regularly visited the city, and we must say, it is indeed a fantastic place to eat, go out and have a few drinks! It’s also known to have 4 seasons in a day, which appeals to some, and not to others! It is the city in Australia with the most amount of people and the culture there is extremely focused on the Australian game of AFL. It’s been in the top of the list in years 2009 to 2013.

Nestled in Europe, this is a history rich part of our history. From having key roles in both world wars, the country has grown to be known for the country of music, with some of the best orchestras in the world establishing themselves here. With a lovely countryside, fantastic food and a culture so rich in history, it attracts approximately 5 million tourists a year. Evidence suggests that Vienna has had people settle there since 500BC. That is a long long time ago!

#3 Vancouver, Canada

Our friends the Canadians come 3 on the list! An interesting place, with a lot of history also. One fun fact is that Greenpeace originated in Vancouver! It has massive amounts on TV being created there, to even rival LA. It has a lot of cruise ships coming into its ports, bringing a constant stream of tourist. There are heaps and heaps of activities to do there, all being predominantly outdoor to focus on the great outdoors, which Vancouver has a lot of!

#4 Toronto, Canada

Coming in at number 4 is Toronto, another Canadian city. It is renowned for its dining, culture and shopping opportunities. It is Canada’s largest city and is the capital. It has over 8000 restaurants! That’s a lot of places to get a bite to eat! It is extremely sunny with over 300 days of glorious sunshine. The city is also extremely focused on business, and interestingly…it has the longest street on the world, being a small 1,896 kilometers.

#5 Adelaide, Australia

Yet another Australian city on the list! Adelaide is known for its wine and churches. Being located on the cost where the Great Australian Bite is, the city has some great fun facts about it. Established in 1836, so its really not that old, and it wasn’t established by convicts! Its known for being extremely quick to navigate, a catchphrases as the 20 minute city was established, as it takes approx. 20 minutes to get from one place to the other in the city at all times. It has the biggest glasshouse in the Southern Hemisphere.

Well, another Canadian city is in the top 10! Calgary still has an image of Cowboys around town and the city is young, with the average age being 35 years old. It has a vast array of languages spoken, being over 120! Yes you read that right, that was 120 different languages are spoken there. It is also super clean, no rubbish, littering general waste is left around the city. It is also a city filled with millionaires, but we don’t know what they do for the money!

It has some extremely glorious beaches, one in particular being Bondi, which all together, her beaches attract approximately 10 million tourists annually. It was a convict colony with settlers coming from England in 1788. It has the largest seafood market in the southern hemisphere! It is Australia’s hub for employment in the financial sector. In the Point Piper area, the media house price is over 7 million Australian dollars.

Another European city makes it in the list. It was established in 1550 and spans over 300 islands. There are more women than men, so if you are looking for a wife…it’s a good place to start! It is cold, really cold. It snows for over 100 days of the year. It is also the city that is the most north in Europe.

#9 Perth, Australia

Another Australian city is on the list! It is known for its beaches. Having some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the tourists that Perth attracts come from all parts of the world! Being one of the most isolated cities in the world, getting to Perth does indeed take a long time. Also gaining a reputation for being extremely expensive, with an average restaurant meal costing approximately $50 for a main, it has extremely high prices in all industries. Known for its mining and raw materials export, this was a small town that has exploded due to the commodity resources available.

#10 Auckland, New Zealand

Another super isolated city from the rest of the world, however extremely close to Australia, Auckland has some interesting facts about it. The first settlers were Maori however it has had an influx of immigrants with a population spiralling to 4.;5 million people. Just like Melbourne, 4 seasons in a day is quite the norm. It has a great climate and some stunning scenery. Well worth a long haul flight.
