Just for a while, leave the discussion regarding MS/MBA, etc.

We have been repeatedly informed that Virtual university is HEC recognized. Absolutely this is true, our university is HEC Recognized but if you check the "Excluded Universities List" on HEC website, VU is among them. Just think for a while the university has already been 10 years old but still wouldn't make any effort to be among the the Top ten or even top 50 universities.

Many universities has started their venture with VU and now they are among the top 10 like Comsats, GIFT etc.  Does it make sense if we spend our tiring efforts in gaining the degree of either MBA or MS but after completion, people use to reject us on the basis that VU is not ranked.

Please ponder on these points rather arguing on MS or MBA equivalence. No doubt, good education is far more better than degree but please be optimistic, degree do play it role.

We should make some efforts in this regard.

Please comments....

An equivalence certificate is a certificate issued by HEC stating your degree is equal to what qualification. Such certificates are widely issued to the degree holder because of frequent change in road maps of various study program. i.e. BBA four years program is equal to masters degree involving 16 years of education.

However, while applying for jobs especially in private sector, if asked qualification is MS and you have MBA degree of 3.5 years along with equivalence certificate issued by HEC they usually don't consider such applicants that's unfortunate but these certificates are helpful if you would like to study further either locally or internationally subject to grades and educational institute's own policies.

Degree shall have stated MBA on it. You will have to obtain an equivalence certificate from HEC.
