Mohammed Ali Jinnah, once asserted that our country was founded upon the principles of “Unity, Faith, Discipline,” However, the order of his words have long been debated – with Urdu texts often noting it to be, Iman, Ittehad, Tanzeem and English text books listing the order with Unity first. The difference is subtle yet significant, and made me reflect on the evolution of our country since 1947.
Pakistan seemed more about the sum of its parts than divisive internal identities. Is that still true today? Many of the country’s minorities have since left, and militants pervert religion to justify violence and intolerance. If the original motto of Pakistan was “Unity, Faith, Discipline,” does that order still hold true today? Has putting faith before unity been detrimental to the cohesion of our Greatest Nation????

well, as far as the official i know the actual Motto as prescribed by MA jinnah was Faith, Unity and Discipline later someone changed the order of his words, i don't remember who was behind it but again in Era of Musharaf, Prime Minister Shoukat aziz himself order to bring official motto in origional format Faith, Unity and Discipline it was then implemented across the country and wherever required.
on the other hand its true that official motto never been implemented across the country in its true form. we still lack true n motivated leadership who lead us towards the betterness of our country based on the principles of "Faith, Unity and Discipline". God Bless Pakistan.
